This band materialized in late 2006, whom they first call themselves Joe Lean and The Tantrums. Finally, they decided to change their name to Joe Lean and Jing Jang Jong on their first major performance and the announcement of their very first album. Before 2007 ends, the band was at Top 7 on the BBC’s Sound of 2008 poll. A remarkable award which they could not believe as well.
In early 2008, they supported The Cribs at NME Awards Tour and they had their best time showcasing their sound at the music festival. This was also the time when they announced that they will be having 25 gigs throughout April and May.
Glasvegas was given a description of badly behaved with their kind of music. They started as underground band until they were recognized with in their type of sound. Glasvegas have in use the wide-eyed optimism of the Libertines but have stimulated music to the fore. No admiration they’re riding far above the ground in the mid-weeks, and are set to cross the threshold of the weekly Top 10 every Sunday. Though this band is eccentric, not many are like them. Their vocalist, James has a exceptional remarkable voice added to quality riffs from Paul and Rab, and Caroline drumming directly to a sound that provides me shiver while performing.
If you are an avid fan of indie pop, Black Kids can give you that genre of music. From their hometown in Florida, this group has gotten better and better every time they perform on stage. Some said that they bring the house down on their last performance. Aside from singing, they could also
dance in tune with their music. Rolling Stone named them as one of the ten “Artists to Watch” for 2008 and they were also integrated in the BBC Top 10 Sound of 2008 survey. Black Kids were created in March 2006. Aside from this praises, Black Kids has signed a good deal with Almost Gold Records.
Rascals first open performance was in Choo Choo Club. When they signed a contract with Atlantic Records and was about to release their first album, another group objected to use the name Rascals. Their manager then, thought of renaming the group Young Rascals. The time has come, and the group decided to drop the name young in their band name. In time with their hit 1968 album, they introduced themselves as Rascals. Though it was not a certified monster hit, some songs in the album were given praises such as “Rainy Day” and “My World”. Without a doubt, their song “My Hawaii” become a big hit in Hawaii at that time.
The Courteeners are a British group from Manchester, England in 2006 led by Liam Fray (guitar/vocals), Michael Campbell (drums/backing vocals), Daniel Conan Moores (Guitar), and Mark Cuppello (bass). Every four band members attract attention from the Middleton area of Greater Manchester, and have been acquainted with each other from the time when they were ten years old. The band’s first appearance was singing their very fisrt single, “Cavorting” which was out on August 6th 2007 by Loog Records. The first single was sold out right away, with all accessible copies pre-ordered. The next single, “Acrylic” was then released on October 22, 2007 which reached a number of 44 in the UK Hit Chart. The music video was also well received by their followers.
